I was first introduced to TMF in Feb 2008 one week after moving to California from Maine. I didn't realize at the time what a huge part of my daily life it would become. I attended the TAG informational meeting on a Monday night, went to my first workout the following Saturday and have been TAGing and HITing ever since, completing 2 Sprints, 3 Olympics, 1 Half, 1 Half marathon and 1 Swim from Alcatraz! I joke that I feel like I moved to California and went to tri camp since I found myself taking days off from work to train! (Does that scream "addict"?!) The supportive community while training and racing, the awesome friends I've met, the cool places I've gotten to see, have made the past months some of the best I have ever had. Neil, your energy and positive attitude keeps me motivated and makes me want to do my best every time. You understand that there are working class triathletes and helped me to adjust the workouts to fit into my schedule. The RST class continues to teach me about what I can do on the bike and how to ride the most efficiently. I highly recommend your programs to anyone looking for more knowledge, nice people to train with and tools to accomplish whatever goals they want. (If you want it, Neil can help you make it happen.) Many thanks to you Neil! I feel proud representing TMF at the races.

Neil,

I thought of you yesterday while spending the day "with myself" (during IM CDA) and wanted to thank you.

I am so excited to have completed my first Ironman and thought about how I never would have thought I could do it back in my TAG days! Thanks for setting me on my path!

Fondly,

Jennie Eddy

Hi Coach Neil,

I can't thank you enough for the amazing experience I had these past ten weeks training for and competing in the Wildflower Olympic triathlon last weekend. I feel so great I think I could do it again this weekend! I really loved the camaraderie of the TAG group and it was so much fun getting to know everyone and watching us progress and compete. I thought it was going to be tough, but it was so amazing to be cheered on by both spectators and my teammates - who were in the middle of their own races!

Thanks again for all your invaluable advice, help, encouragement and expertise. Even as a first-time triathlete, I felt so well prepared there were no race day surprises. These few months just flew by, and I can't wait to start training again for the next one!

I cannot tell you how much my swimming sessions with you meant to me. I think you must know as you help so many people that start out like me. Learning to swim is pretty humiliating, but you made me believe that I could do it and that the humiliation was worth it...and that it would pass. I pride myself in all that I do to listen to anyone who is helping coach or develop me and I "do as I am told" to the best of my ability. So, I thought of you on that first open water swim at Wildflower and I literally talked to myself quoting everything you told me to "check off of my list". It worked. I truly thought that swim would take me 55 minutes. I think you pushed me to shave it to 45 and I did 33:02!!!!!!!! Yeah! I attached a couple of pics for you.

Thank you sincerely, you are very special.

Neil, Thanks for encouraging me to sign up for your RST classes. They rock! I know many triathletes talk about how important it is to get as much road time as possible, but I have to say that these classes really mimic a true race. And the improvement to my outdoor rides has been significant - I just feel so much stronger on these rides. The class really allows you to learn so much about yourself on the bike and really push your wattage output. I recently ranked #5 on the bike split in a race - a huge jump from previous races. Thanks again for the great classes!

Hey Neil,

Just wanted to thank you for training me for VineMan. I really enjoyed my experience training with the H.I.T. program and having you as my coach. You're awesome at what you do! I had a great race on Sunday and a lot of fun getting there, and you played a huge part in that.

Take care, Ryan

Hi my name is Tracy and Neil Fraser is my hero. You see in 2001 I was diagnosed with Leukemia. Neil decided to do an ironman, crazy guy... and we have crossed 4 finish lines together. We still someday have one more to go. Neil should I tell them I just really ran the last 1/2 mile with you? It still made me nervous.

The best thing that came out of me having cancer was the passion that Neil has inside as he is the hero behind Tri More Fitness. Each and everyone of you have a different reason why doing an ironman is important to you. I would only like to tell you how lucky you are that you are able to have met and trained with Neil. He is my hero and on top of that a dedicated athlete, friend, and soon to be father of twins!

Hey Canuck!
(yes coach Neil is a Canadian)

I completed the “Escape from the Rock” in 3 hours even. Just wanted to give you a “BIG thanks” for all of your help!!! 4 months ago I had never swam a pool lap in my life… now I can say I’ve done the Alcatraz swim! Without your coaching I’d probably be still be swimming at the bottom of the bay. Looking to shave ½ hour off my time next year. (with your help)

Thanks again!

Cheers

Hey Neil & Laura,

Thanks very much again for all of your help. First the 10:53 Ironman, now the Boston qualifier 6 months later. You guys have done an amazing job of focusing my training, nutrition and getting me to peak fitness at exactly the right time. I can't thank you enough.

Dear Neil,

I can't thank you enough for seeing me through my first Olympic race, The Sentinel in Santa Cruz. You broke the fear that I had for the race. The private workouts you and Laura provided gave me confidence to take my hands off the brakes and "trust myself and my bike" as you yelled from behind! And to be mentally tough in open water, also learning the proper way to get in and out efficiently and quickly. That year a week before the race I got the "good news/bad news" call from my Doc saying I had breast cancer. You were there the whole time, totally supportive and encouraged me to do what I felt was right. I raced the Sentinel and it was incredible...like you said, I "was so ready for the race!" Now back in good health I am so excited and feel in great hands with you and Laura again to train for my first race in over 2 years, the Treasure Island Olympic in November. I'm looking forward to training with the TMF group, learning, growing and meeting new people.

Thanks again for the expert training, love and support.

I thought that I would drop a thank you for all your hard work and commitment that you deliver in our workouts. Your impact on my life in a short period of time is immeasurable. The energy and passion that you exude in our sessions is infectious. My workouts and coaching sessions with you have bled over into all aspects of my life. I’m finally living what I feel is a balanced life as an executive; something that I never thought would come to fruition. You create the opportunity for me to learn and take advantage of what life has to offer through fitness. I can’t thank you enough. I look forward to achieving my goals of a balanced fit life with your guidance through out. Thank you.

I wanted you to know how instrumental Neil Fraser was in my recent successful summit of Mt. Rainier. Four years ago I reached the top, two years ago at 60 I cramped up at 12,000 ft. and had to stop. One more try. The mountain guides and even my doctor didn't have much to offer on the cramps- train more- no physical problems apparent.

I talk with Neil and He suggested liquid nutrients and special electrolytes used by endurance athletes for cramping. He also copied written material on the products, told me where I could buy it, even calling to determine store hours. He told me dosages and suggested tactics if cramping started. His knowledge and enthusiasm made me feel, one week before the climb and for the first time that I could deal with cramps and make it to the top.

Most importantly, on the mountain, when cramping started to occur, I employed his strategies, overrode the guides concerns, worked through the cramps, and made it to the top.

THANKS!!!

Bill

It might be hard for me to find the right words to let you know how much I appreciate your help and how much you helped me get through and enjoy this amazing experience. The training and nutrition plan that your created for me prepared me beyond my expectations. I never had any doubt that you would get me to the finish. I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy every part of it and how good I would feel throughout. Without any doubt, Neil & Laura, you got me there under 11 hours and I can't thank you enough.

Lets talk about IMFL 2007 soon.

Hi Laura and Neil,
I can't thank YOU both enough for the whole TAG experience — I enjoyed myself SO much and can't believe what I was able to accomplish. On the day of the race I felt so prepared and can't even tell you how many times the little tips, tricks, and advice you both gave came up and helped me stay focused and feel confident! And now I'm hooked :)
Hope to see you both soon –

Tammy

Neil and Laura Where do I begin?  Well, I just completed my first IronMan and owe the both of you a ton of gratitude.  It was the best six months of my life and the best race.  My plan was to finish with a smile, enjoy the day, and I did.  Thanks to my coaches, they prepared me for everything.  From the weekly schedule, they e-mailed me, to all the questions that they would answer, lists of all I would need for my race, working on race nutrition from week to week to prepare me for the big day.  They left no
stones unturned, I was prepared for anything and it paid off, I had the time of my life.
Thanks so much.

Laura and Neil,
I can't express enough how grateful I am to you both for everything you've done for me! I am so thrilled to now be an official triathlete!! As I told you both yesterday, I honestly never saw myself as being able to do what I now have done. Between training schedules and so much assistance with swimming and just amazing support from you regarding training, I can now see myself doing anything I put my mind to accomplish. Yes, I made the swim! Might have been a little slow but for me this was such an accomplishment! What wonderful friends you are and I am so fortunate to have you in my life. You are such inspiring people and really rub off on to everyone else. I am so proud of you two and am so
happy that Tri More Fitness is really taking off! You have such great futures ahead of you and it is well deserved. You've worked hard!

So cheers to an awesome duo and to GREAT friends!

Much love, Sarah

Coach Neil,
I love receiving your emails...you make me feel so good about the progress I'm making!!  Yes I'm very proud of myself for getting in the bay.  That is something I never imagined myself doing. I also want to let you know that I'm very appreciative of your coaching.  I think you do an amazing job explaining everything that goes into learning how to swim, bike and run correctly as well as keeping us motivated to keep going.  I'm so glad I'm with this group...I can't believe it's taken me 35 years to get into this
sport!

I'm very grateful that I had Neil next to me the whole time, being very patient, supportive, and dedicated! You guys are very lucky to have him as a coach. I think my biggest learning was to know that I am stronger than I thought, and of course to know more than ever that I DO want to participate on the next Triathlon

Hi Neil:
Thanks for letting me tag along for the workout yesterday. That's a nice group of people you're working with. (And you seem to be a natural at the coaching thing--I heard all kinds of good advice.) I'll recommend you to people when I get the chance.

Ihope to see you again soon.
